At Emersons Green we pride ourselves on our warm and friendly atmosphere and hope that new parents and children quickly feel part of our school family.
Our mission; Forging Mighty Futures summarises our belief that all children have the ability to be mighty and demonstrate their mightiness in all they do. This belief is fostered and grown within our children through; a Pursuit of Excellence, Building Bravery, Championing Uniqueness and Embracing Practice and Effort. Our high expectations match the high quality teaching and pastoral care our children receive, regardless of their starting points or abilities.
Our school is highly inclusive, having a specialist resource base for the inclusion of up to 14 children with physical disabilities and/or visual impairment. OFSTED described our provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities as running “through the heart of everything it does”. We believe everyone is a learner. This includes children, their families, staff and all members of our wider community. Our role is to ignite a passion for learning so they might achieve their mighty future.
Our curriculum holds reading at its core and is planned to support pupils when they need it and enable them to challenge themselves to make the progress they are capable of. We hope that during their time with us all children will become confident, articulate, and inquisitive and endeavour to work in partnership with parents to achieve the very best provision for every individual.
We are committed to training and developing our staff to the highest levels. The Primary Excellence Partnership supports us in this endeavour, there is a commitment to the pursuit of excellence at all levels within our schools.
