School Meals

School meals – Healthy eating is about consuming a varied diet to get the right amount of nutrients to promote growth and good health, this is what we promote across the school. Our school meals are provided by Educatering. The meals have been designed specifically to promote a healthy and balanced diet, food is prepared freshly on site and produce is locally sourced. All payments for school meals must be made online at www.parentpay.com.  Parents need to use their individual log-in to allocate funds to their child and to request meals in advance.  Meal choices can be made up to 3 weeks in advance and must be made by 8am each day.  If your child is absent, the credit will be carried forward. Failure to pay for school dinners will result in a debt being added to your account, and could result in you being ask to provide a packed lunch for your child in future

Children are welcome to bring a packed lunch, please ensure these are healthy and do not contain sweets, fizzy drinks or nut based products.

Nut allergies

We are a nut free school.  Please do not send any nuts or nut based products into school or include them within packed lunches.

Water

It is very important that children drink plenty of water during the day to keep themselves hydrated. To help with access to water we allow each child to bring a small plastic bottle of water that they can have in class and these can be refilled throughout the day. These bottles should be named and are accessed throughout the day.

Mid-morning snacks

Milk
All children under 5 years old receive free school milk.  The school operates a milk scheme for all other children in conjunction with School Milk Services Ltd.  Order forms are available from the school office, and payment made directly to the dairy.  Please order milk well in advance of the school term as it takes at least 2 weeks for the dairy to process the orders and payments.

Fruit
Under the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme, all Infant children are given a piece of fruit every day. Key Stage 2 children are welcome to bring fresh fruit to school. The school kitchen will provide.
