Forest School

At Emersons Green Primary, we believe in the power of nature to inspire, teach, and nurture. Our Forest School is an integral part of our curriculum, offering students the opportunity to explore the outdoors while developing important life skills.

Through our Forest School, children are encouraged to:

  • Connect with Nature: Students experience the natural world firsthand, learning about local wildlife, plants, and ecosystems.
  • Develop Confidence: Outdoor activities build resilience, independence, and problem-solving skills in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Foster Creativity: Using natural materials, children engage in creative projects like building dens, crafting woodland art, and imaginative play.
  • Enhance Wellbeing: Time spent in nature promotes physical and emotional wellbeing, encouraging mindfulness, cooperation, and respect for the environment.
  • Learn Practical Skills: From learning how to safely use tools to identifying plants and building structures, students gain practical outdoor skills that enhance their understanding of the world around them.

Our Forest School program is designed to be inclusive and accessible to all students, providing hands-on learning experiences that complement our classroom teaching. Rain or shine, our students embark on exciting outdoor adventures that foster a deeper connection with the environment and a love of learning.
